Care & Cleaning
Patent Leather is tanned in the traditional way. However, the final stages involve the addition of a varnish and a degree of buffing to create the polished high-shine finish. Bags/ SLGs should not come into contact with other lest there be un- wanted color transferal between items.
This leather can usually be cleaned with the use of a soft cotton cloth slightly dampened with distilled water (sodium-free seltzer water may be substituted) applied in a circular motion. The leather should then be allowed to dry completely.
No creams, polishes, cleansers, or leather conditioning products should be used on the Vacchetta leather trim, handles and straps.
